Hitch Media’s mobile marketing service increases booth traffic at MacWorld Conference

Macworld Conference & Expo is the world's most comprehensive Macintosh OS event. This event showcases products and services for those involved in media and creative content development for corporate and home applications. Macworld brings together the loyal base of Mac OS audiences in creative services, education, application development, entertainment, small office/home office and Internet-based environments; offering professionals and consumers alike the opportunity to discover the latest developments and hottest products these markets offer.

Digital Lifestyle Outfitters (DLO) implemented a location focused mobile marketing campaign amidst 45,000 event attendees in an effort to distinguish their products from the hundreds of competing exhibitors.

Attendees were incentivized to visit the DLO exhibit through promotional t-shirts. Any attendee who showed the DLO logo on their mobile device received a free t-shirt. While initial motivation was the promotional item, hundreds of attendees spent time browsing Mac related products, generating thousands of dollars in sales. In addition, DLO gathered hundreds of leads which they will market to for years to come.

Attendee’s not only download the DLO message but they forwarded the logo to others via picture messaging. Triggered by location focused mobile marketing, viral distribution of the DLO logo led to a significant increase in booth traffic and sales.
